The process is executed through controlled technical methodologies, ensuring finishes that meet professional-grade specifications. The estimate for each project is strictly calculated based on the required technical materials and the laboratory hours demanded by the complexity of the design.

The Painter Behind 73 Technik is the experience of a mechanical engineer, business administrator, and Air Force veteran. With technical training from Airbus UK, I apply aerospace engineering standards and materials science to the custom painting process. Every stage — from vectorized digital design to clear coat micron measurement and structural carbon fiber preparation — is governed by technical protocols and strict quality control.

Specification tiers

F-SPEC01/03

Factory Specification

Inspired by factory design, refined beyond factory standards. Clean graphics, crisp lines and durable painted finishes. Every logo and graphic is painted rather than applied as a decal or vinyl wrap, resulting in a finish that integrates seamlessly into the paint system.

C-SPEC02/03

Custom Specification

Factory-inspired design with room for individuality. Custom color layouts, special effects, metallics, fades, hand-painted graphics and selected artistic techniques combine to create finishes that remain technically disciplined while reflecting the owner's vision.

B-SPEC03/03

Bespoke Specification

A fully bespoke finish developed without compromise. Airbrushing, gold leaf, hand lettering, illustration and other advanced techniques are combined into a single project. These commissions require extensive planning, execution and finishing, and are produced in very limited numbers.

Section 05 — Pricing

Pricing factors

Every project is quoted individually. The final price is determined by three main factors:

Materials

The selected finish defines the materials involved. Professional two-component primer, surfacer, basecoat and clearcoat are considered the standard specification. Specialty finishes such as Candy, Metal Flake, Chameleon pigments or Gold Leaf require additional materials and processes, and therefore increase the project cost.

PF-02
Material specification

Professional refinishing materials are available in different quality tiers. The appropriate system is selected according to the technical and aesthetic requirements of each project.

PF-03
Complexity and labor

The time required to complete a project has a direct impact on its cost. Techniques such as airbrushing, Gold Leaf application, hand lettering, masking or photorealistic artwork demand substantially more labor than a solid-color finish.

Every project follows a defined refinishing system. The exact materials and individual steps may vary according to the substrate and the selected finish, but the objective remains the same: long-term adhesion, durability and serviceability.

Every project is warranted against defects in workmanship and material application under normal use.
